That’s the Legend Homes Energy Bill Guarantee.

At Legend,  we  believe green is  good.  It pays to live EarthSmart!

3 Year Energy Cost Guarantee (Limited): Legend Homes guarantees  the original purchaser that the energy costs (Gas & Electricity costs) to  live in your new Legend EarthSmart home at Edgewater on the Tualatin will not  exceed $58 per month average for any one year period during the first 3 years  of homeownership. Other Legend EarthSmart energy costs will vary per community and square footage differences. The Energy Cost Guarantee is calculated for the Meadow 1805  sq/ft home plan with a family of 4 living in the home using an Energy Trust of  Oregon Energy Performance Score (EPS) figure to determine gas (therms) and  electricity (kilowatt hours) energy required to live comfortably in the home  in a typical weather year.  If the purchaser decides to add the optional  A/C to the home prior to closing then the Energy Cost Guarantee will not  exceed $63 per month average for any one year period during the first 3 years  of ownership. Other Legend EarthSmart homes EPS scores and Energy Cost  Guarantees will vary by each home plan & lot. If the energy costs used in  your home exceeds the Guaranteed Cost, the builder Legend Homes will reimburse  you 100% of the cost of the difference between the Guaranteed Cost and the  actual utility bills paid for living in your home. The reimbursement will be  based on an average of your monthly utility rates during those 12 months. This guarantee does not include utility fees and taxes.  At its discretion,  the builder may (but is not required to) inspect, meter or make repairs as  necessary to lower the energy requirements for equipment in your home in the  future.  See Legend Homes on-site representative for all the specific  terms and limitations details.
