Hillsboro, Ore. June 8, 2010 – Legend Homes’ Village at Orenco community was selected as a destination for the U.S.A study tour organized by Zenkenren and the Japanese Builder’s Network. These prominent Japanese associations handpicked Legend Homes because of Legend’s commitment to 3rd party certifications and eco-friendly new home design and construction.
The groups toured Legend Homes’ Village at Orenco community, which meets Earth Advantage® and Energy Star requirements for energy efficiency, indoor air quality, environmental responsibility and resource efficiency. The goal of the tour was to research and assess general building trends. The group of 30 building industry professionals split into four tour groups and were presented with information regarding inspection systems, such as government code inspections, third-party inspections and certifications, builder’s inspections and checklists as well as buyer turnover and warranty processes. The event culminated in a hospitality gathering and model tour led by Jim Chapman, President of Legend Homes.
“It was an honor that Legend Homes’ Village at Orenco community was selected as a destination by the delegates. We were so pleased with their interest and enthusiasm and the tour was a tremendous success for all involved,” said Jim Chapman, President of Legend Homes.
