At Legend Homes, giving and volunteerism have been integrated into the corporate culture since the company’s inception. Whether it’s helping communities, families or the environment, Legend Homes’ steady tradition of giving has been on going for decades. In one year alone, Legend Homes donated approximately $300,000 to deserving organizations.
It was a great honor that, out of dozens of Oregon homebuilders, ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition chose award-winning, green-certified Legend Homes to help one very deserving family. For more than 40-years, the Legend Homes family has been committed to building finely crafted, affordable homes for Oregon’s families. The Legend Homes team is passionate about creating safe, peaceful communities that instantly feel like home, as well as helping families through the entire homebuying process. In 2007, Legend Homes had the honor of helping another Oregon family, the Byers, get the home of their dreams in Oregon’s first-ever Extreme Makeover.

Legend Homes’ tradition of giving back reaches into the past and will stretch far into the future. A former Legend Homes program in Linn and Benton Counties gave grants to nonprofits in the Corvallis and Albany regions, as well as offered free workshops to help Linn and Benton County nonprofits with fundraising and in assisting with building donations. Employees of Legend Homes give back to the community as well, through annual food drives in Legend Homes’ communities. Last year employees picked up food donations from approximately 1,300 homeowners. In 2010, Legend Homes was proud to contribute to the Earth Advantage Institute’s Earth Day and Run Fair to promote green living.
